Aquarium refrigeration units (chillers) are designed to keep your aquarium cool on those hot summer days. They are ideal for reef tanks with heavy lighting or for cool temperate biotopes that require cooler temperatures. Chillers are equiped with internal titanium or stainless steel cooling coils. Water is pumped into the chiller, cooled, and then returned to the tank or sump. These units can be setup away from the tank (basement, garage, fish room, etc.). The Pacific Coast Import and Tradewind models come equiped with digital controllers with LCD displays for precise measurements of temperature.
